What products do you offer?
Security systems are our bread and butter, of course — but by popular demand, we now provide much more. We’ll wire homes and businesses for video and audio systems, entry systems and intercoms. And we’ll install central vacuums, surveillance cameras, fire alarms and more.

How many of your employees are based in the Chicago area?
Easy answer: 100%. We live here too, and we’re committed to making all our neighborhoods safe and secure places.

Where are systems monitored from?
Right here in Chicago. We don’t have operators in other cities (or even countries) — all of our monitoring is local. In critical situations, that can make a big difference!

What size system do I need?
We don’t have a “one size fits all” approach; every Alert Protective Services system is tailored for your unique needs. What’s more, we don’t over-design our systems: we take pride in recommending exactly what you need for optimum protection without unnecessary frills.

Do I rent my system, or do I own it?
Ownership is the way to go. Leasing a system tends to be more expensive in the long run, and it saddles you to a long-term contract that may not be an ideal solution. If your needs change, or if the system installed isn’t performing well, you may be stuck.

What kind of warranty do you offer?
Alert Protective provides a comprehensive one-year warranty on all parts and labor. This is four times as long as the 90-day warranties offered by most other security firms.
