Which communities do you serve?
Alert Protective Services provides security services for the entire greater Chicagoland area. If your home or business is located anywhere in northeastern Illinois, we would be happy to provide security services for your home or business.
I have a security system that was installed by another company. Will Alert Protective Services monitor and service it?
Yes. Unlike our competitors, Alert Protective Services is more than happy to monitor and service security systems installed by other security providers. Our highly skilled security technicians are able to service and program nearly any make or model of alarm system.
Which brands and models of security and fire alarms do you service and monitor?
We service and monitor nearly any make or model of alarm system. Napco, Ademco, Honeywell, GE, DSC, Safewatch, FBII, ADT, Firelite and Silent Knight are just some of the security and fire alarm systems that we work with on a daily basis.
Who are your customers?
A virtual who’s who of Chicago-area homeowners, home builders, businesses and corporations. They realize the advantages of dealing with a reliable local source, and we never disappoint.
What products do you offer?
We install, service and monitor security and fire alarm systems for homes and businesses. We also install surveillance systems, intercoms and wire for sound, video and telephony. We also offer many other low voltage services.
How many of your employees are based in the Chicago area?
Easy answer: 100%. We live here too, and we’re committed to making all our neighborhoods safe and secure places.
Where are your security systems monitored from?
Our UL-approved, central station monitoring facilities are located right here in the Chicagoland area. We also have two backup central stations that would be used in the event of a natural disaster or during extreme weather conditions.
What size system do I need?
We don’t have a “one size fits all” approach; every Alert Protective Services system is tailored for your unique needs. What’s more, we don’t over-design our systems: we take pride in recommending exactly what you need for optimum protection without unnecessary frills.
Do I rent my system, or do I own it?
Ownership is the way to go. Leasing a system tends to be more expensive in the long run. It saddles you to a long-term contract that may not be an ideal solution. If your needs change, or if the system installed isn’t performing well, you may be stuck.
Does your company install and service Control4 and other home control and home automation systems?
Yes. We have consultants and technicians who specialize in Control4 and other home control and home automation systems. What kind of warranty do you offer?
Alert Protective provides a comprehensive one-year warranty on all parts and labor. This is four times as long as the 90-day warranties offered by most other security firms.
